Bluejacket Memorial Scholarship Fund Application

The Claremore Public Schools Foundation strives to “make a difference in the life of a child through education.”  The Bluejacket Memorial Scholarship Fund was established as an endowment gift to the Foundation to be given to students graduating from Claremore High School .  The gift is to be used for scholarships to institutions of higher learning:  a Junior College, College or University for the purpose of undergraduate study.

It is the Foundations goal to select seven graduating seniors from Claremore High School who wish to attend college and have a proven record of academic achievement.  There will be an award of seven scholarships in the amount of $1,000.00 each and we will consider any student with a minimum GPA of 3.0 for this scholarship program.

Criteria to be evaluated will be:

1.     Leadership/Civic/Community Involvement

2.     Honors/Awards

3.     Extracurricular and campus activities

4.     Academic achievement (GPA/ACT/SAT)

5.     Financial need

Applications may be obtained through the High School Counselor at the Claremore High School or the Foundations web site:  www.claremorepublicschoolsfoundation.org.

Return the completed application to the Claremore Public Schools Foundation Office or the Claremore High School Counselors office by April 1, 2006 .  Winners will be announced at the CHS year end awards assembly in May.
